According to the EU's new basic data protection regulation (DSGVO), which will come into force on 25 May 2018, each organisation is obliged to appoint a data protection officer to ensure compliance with the DSGVO. The DSGVO is directly applicable to all actors active on EU territory (source: Swiss Confederation) and also applies under certain conditions in third countries such as Switzerland.

SWISS OUTDOOR ASSOCIATION takes the protection of personal data seriously. On this page we inform you as a user of our website which personal data is stored and how it is used. SWISS OUTDOOR ASSOCIATION does not sell, exchange or otherwise make unauthorised use of personal data and information. We ensure that your personal data is not passed on to other companies or organisations without authorisation. By submitting your information and using this website, you accept the privacy policy and agree to the terms described therein.

Collection and processing of personal data

You do not have to provide SWISS OUTDOOR ASSOCIATION with any personal information to inform yourself about our website. However, if you wish to make use of certain services, certain details are required to process your request.

Transmission of personal data to the course instructor and the treasurer

Your data, which are relevant for courses and are recorded during course registration (first name, surname, title, language, telephone number, email, birthday, address, postcode, city and company), will be forwarded to the course instructor of the relevant course (or exam), as well as to the cashier. The instructors use the data for the communication concerning the course itself. The cashier uses the data to issue the corresponding invoice.

 

Integration of social media

To make the information about SWISS OUTDOOR ASSOCIATION easier to disseminate on the net, SWISS OUTDOOR ASSOCIATION uses "share buttons", "recommend buttons", "plugins" and "widgets" from social networks such as Facebook and Twitter in some places. If you click on these, a new window opens, via which the respective content or link can be sent directly to these networks. This requires prior login to Facebook or Twitter. Only when you are logged in to Facebook or Twitter will your chosen information be sent to your contacts on Facebook or Twitter according to their privacy settings. Recording of data

SWISS OUTDOOR ASSOCIATION collects general statistical information when you visit our website. These data are used exclusively for statistical analysis such as visitor numbers, page popularity and for purposes of identification and tracking of unauthorized access attempts. SWISS OUTDOOR ASSOCIATION also uses external services, in this case Google Analytics.
 
These evaluations are only accessible to specially authorized employees and are deleted after 38 months. It is not possible to link this and personal data.

 

Use of cookies

To ensure the optimal functioning of the SWISS OUTDOOR ASSOCIATION website and to collect general usage information, the use of cookies is used in some places. These are small text files without personal data, which are temporarily stored on your computer and can be deleted at any time using your browser settings.

Content that does not meet these criteria will be deleted by us. If any content on our site infringes your copyright, please report it to copyright@swissoutdoorassociation.ch. We will take care of it as soon as possible.
Setting a hyperlink to www.swissoutdoorassociation.ch is allowed and is welcomed by us. 
SWISS OUTDOOR ASSOCIATION hereby also declares that at the time the links were created, no illegal content was discernible on the linked pages. SWISS OUTDOOR ASSOCIATION has no influence on the contents of the linked page adapted at a later date. The provider of the linked page is liable for incorrect, incomplete and illegal content on its page.

 

Revocation of consent to the use of data and deletion of data

Consents that you have given us when registering for certain services (e.g. newsletter subscription) can be revoked at any time with effect for the future. Personal data that has already been collected will be deleted if it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which the data was collected. The data will be blocked instead of deleted if there are legal or contractual retention periods to the contrary.

You can unsubscribe from newsletters by clicking on the link in the e-mail or on our unsubscribe page. If you unsubscribe from all newsletters and we no longer have your consent to use your data for other orders, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

 

Data export

You have the right to receive an export of any personal data we hold about you. Please send an email with the subject "Data Export" to datenschutz@swissoutdoorassociation.ch. After verification of your person we will export all your personal data within 30 days and send it to you in a secure way. 

 

Future changes and queries

Due to technical developments on the Internet and developing social and legal practices, it may be necessary to adapt and supplement these data protection notices. The SWISS OUTDOOR ASSOCIATION will inform you about updates at this point.
