Rope activities

The guidelines drawn up by the "Rope activities" working group define the requirements for running rope activities. They also govern the training of the specialists.

Training in rope activities is divided into the following courses:

  • Rope Park Operator
  • Rope Specialist
  • Rope Park Head Operator
  • Via Ferrata Operator

Requirements for the company:
All courses and facilities must be supervised by the company responsible, and staff must be specially trained on the facilities. Training the guides and supervising the facilities is the responsibility of a mountain guide. The facilities may not be located in high-alpine terrain or on glaciers.
